Required Documents for Family Visit Visa in France

Required Documents for Family Visiting Visa for France

Please make sure that the documents you submit for your visa applications for family, friends, relatives in France are up to date.

Standard Documents

• Invitation Certificate

An invitation certificate in accordance with national legislation must be submitted. Invitation / guarantee document of the inviting applicant from the municipality in France. A residence permit or a photocopy of the national identity card and the deed / lease of the residence must be attached to the invitation document if the applicant is a citizen of France.

• Passport

The original of the passport that meets the criteria must be submitted. Passports must be no more than 10 years old and include two blank visa pages. There must be a validity period of 3 months after the planned return date. Photocopy of all processed pages of the new passport and of the previous passport, if any: pages containing identification information, if available, photocopies of the UK, USA, Schengen, Canada, Australia, Japan.
(!) In addition to the processed pages (previous visas) of your previous passports, identification information, validity periods and stamped pages should also be provided.
(!) In case of marriage or divorce, applications with out-of-date passports will not be accepted due to change of surname.

• France Schengen visa application form

Personally signed France Schengen visa application form filled with care and completeness. France visa application form is completed online. 
The applicant must clearly state the place of residence in the application form.

A separate application form and file must be created for all applicants during France visa applications. Underage applicants' signs must be provided by their legal guardians.

• Photocopy of Identity Card

You must submit a copy of the front and back sides of your ID card. In addition, you must submit your temporary ID card you get from civil registry while applying for France visa if you have applied to the new ID cards which have chips on them for Turkish citizens but it's not ready yet during France visa applications. 

• Schengen Health Insurance

A compulsory travel health insurance of € 30,000 for the Schengen visa, valid for the travel period , must be provided. You must submit the original form of travel health insurance with a guarantee of EUR 30,000 and valid in Schengen countries; wet stamped and signed. Your travel health insurance policy must be arranged to include your travel dates for France.

• Flight Reservation

Booking document for round-trip flight booking and transportation.

You must submit the transportation reservations for your trip.

• Hotel Reservations

If you are staying at the hotel on your business trip to France, you must provide proof of your accommodation. Your accommodation reservation documents must be issued separately on behalf of each applicant.  Reservations must include the first and last name of the applicant.

• Copy of full family certificate of identity register

You can obtain your family register certificate from the civil registry closest to your residence address. The “thoughts” section should be processed in the copy of the certificate of full family identity registration. Your family and sibling information should be included without missing information in your registration records.  The identity register copy taken over e-government is not valid as it is not fully certified. The documents showing the relationship between the inviter and the invitee.

Documents Showing Financial Status

• Documents showing how the applicant will cover travel expenses
• A statement showing the account movements of the last 3-months, stamped and signed, taken from the bank.
• Documents showing regular income: The last 3 months payroll, retirement pension, real estate rental income, etc.
• Real estate documents (title deed, car license)

Additional Income Documents

Property and additional income documents such as title deeds, vehicle licenses, rental income documents (if any) should be submitted.
Professional Documents

For employees working under SGK;

• Employer letter
• Signed and stamped document that includes the duty of visa applicant, starting date, salary, leave period and information that shows the applicant will continue to work in Turkey.
• Payroll for the last 3 months.
• SSI Statement of Employment and SSI Service Document.
• Biometric Photo

1 Photograph must be submitted in accordance with the biometric criteria, with white background, without retouching, not older than 6 months, measuring 35x45 mm and showing the entire face clearly. 35x45 mm photos with a white background should not be used in any of the visas in your passport before. In addition, your photo which will be used in your visa application must represent your current state.

• Bill of Bank Account

If the applicant is to apply for a visa for France, he / she must submit a bill of the bank account opened in his / her name. Applicants whose expenses are covered by their first-degree relatives must submit the bank account of the sponsor along with their personal bank accounts. Applicants who do not have an account on their behalf in the bank should submit their sponsor's account statement. The bank statements must be up-to-date, including the applicant's account transactions in the last 3 months. Bank transcripts must be provided 10 days before the visa appointment date.

For short-term France visa applications, the account must contain at least TL 5,000 for each applicant. If the application is to be made by a whole family, there must be at least 5.000 TL balance for each person.

Account statements provided as ATM printouts are not accepted.

• Activity Certificate / Chamber of Commerce Registration

Depending on the activity of the company you work for, the photocopy of your activity document not older than 6 months must be submitted. From the applicants whose documents are in jurisdiction of Ankara Embassy, only Chamber of Commerce Registration is asked.

• Trade Registry Gazette
• Current Tax Board
• A copy of the current tax board for the last year must be submitted.
• SSI Certificate Declaration of Employment
• You must provide a photocopy of your certificate of employment from your company.
• SSI Service Breakdown
• This document, which you can obtain through the SSI or e-government website, should indicate your entire insurance history in detail.  If the applicant is retired and still working, SSI must submit additional support premium payments.
• Salary Payrolls
• Stamped and signed payrolls for the last 3 months must be submitted.
• Business arrangement

If you are not an SGK employee, you must submit a notary approved employment contract proving the business agreement between you and your company.

Company Owners and Shareholders;

• Activity Certificate / Chamber of Commerce Registration

Depending on the activity of the company you work for, the photocopy of your activity document not older than 6 months must be submitted. From the applicants whose documents are in jurisdiction of France Embassy in Ankara, only Chamber of Commerce Registration is asked.

• Trade Registry Gazette
• A copy of the commercial registry newspaper with the title of the company and the information that the applicant is the founder or partner of the company must be submitted.
• Current Tax Board
• A copy of the current tax board for the last year must be submitted.
• Bill of Bank Account
• The bank account statement and bank account passbook of the company provided within the last 10 days belonging to the last three months must be submitted.
• Copy of Signature Circular

For retirees;

• Document showing the pension (last 3-month bank statement wet signed-stamped and retirement wallet).
•  A document from the SGK that you receive a pension.

For farmers;

• Farmer's certificate issued by the Chamber of Agriculture to which the applicant is attached and photocopies of the title deeds.

For students;

• If the applicant is a student, the original of the student certificate.

For foreigners;

• Turkey residence permit.  Turkey residence permit must be valid for at least 6 months and it must be valid for 3 more months after the returning date.

For those under 18 years;

• For applicants under 18 years of age, deed of consent signed by both parents must be submitted. There is no need for deed of consent if the applicant is traveling with only one parent and the legal owner of the custody is that parent.
• Each applicant must prepare a separate file for the application. When applying for a France family visit visa, a separate application form must be completed for everyone, including children. Forms of the applicants under the age of 18 must be signed by their legal guardians.
• The financial and professional documents belonging to a first-degree relative to cover the costs of the applicant under the age of 18 must be included.

Sponsor Documents

(!) If someone else (the mother, father, relative, etc.) covers the costs of the applicant for the family visit visa applications for France, the financial and professional documents of that person must be attached to the file and the sponsor who will cover the costs must prepare a petition for the applicant.

Things to Consider For France Family Visit Visa Application

• The recommended application period is 30 days due to the intensity of the Consulate of France before the Holidays.

• Inaccurate and missing documents for your family visit visa applications for France will result in a waste of time during your procedures. Therefore, we recommend that you prepare your documents carefully and completely.
• While applying to France Schengen visa, don't forget to mention the special cases, travels in the future and flights in your company letter and petition.
• If you prove your travel history (previous passport and the issuance of visas received in the last 3 years), long-term visa may be obtained. The French Consulate is able to issue long-term visas depending on whether your visas are used correctly and the number of previous visas. Therefore, do not forget to include your previous passport and visa in your documents. Do not forget to include a copy of the processed pages of your previous passports in your application files.
• Once your France Schengen visa is approved, you should ensure that France sets your first entry limit. After you enter France, you are entitled to free movement in the Schengen area. Otherwise, you may not be allowed to enter the country or your next Schengen visa application may result negatively.
